1. Find a hanger with clips.
2. Fold the pants in half vertically.
3. Clip the waistband of the pants to the hanger. Move the clips as needed.
4. Since many pant clips have small notches or teeth on them. These will leave marks and imprints on the soft fabric. Take four index cards and place two inside each pant clip. Place the header of the pants between the cards to protect them from the teeth that can leave marks.
5. Place the hangers inside the closet again.
